R.J. Macke is the General Manager of CtR. R.J. was previously the Engineering Director and has been with the CtR team since 2001. R.J. manages the day-to-day operations of the company and is the main point of contact for any project related items.

Jaime Ayala
Project Management Director

Jaime Ayala joined CtR in 2005 and directs the daily tasks of all projects from initial budget development through procurement, and until the final invoice has been processed coordinating engineering and field operations.

Spencer Dahl
Engineering Manager

Spencer Dahl joined CtR in 2004 and directs the engineering group, overseeing conceptual and construction design including scope of work, sequence of operation, vendor requests for quotation (RFQ), and project documentation.

Dan Libby joined CtR in 2003 and directs field operations overseeing field construction and installation to comply with the design initiatives while also interfacing with the customer to adapt with project site dynamics.

FOUNDERS

Jeff Kipp Principal

B.S. University of Missouri-Rolla

Jeff is one of three original Principals who founded CtR in 1994 and currently a consultant. His previous experience includes four years as President and General Manager at a large manufacturer of equipment for air conveying, mechanical conveying and bulk handling as integrated systems in packaging plants. He managed 200+ employees and had divisional Profit & Loss responsibility for packaging equipment manufacture, installation and service. Prior to that, he served three years as an Engineering Manager with a large engineering consulting firm where he managed international engineering projects for soft drink, beer and pharmaceutical packaging. He also spent two years as a Project Engineer with Fortune 100 beverage manufacturer where he was responsible for all aspects of soft drink facility design and installation from utilities and syrup rooms to packaging lines, including PLC control of all systems from design to implementation.

Jeff’s background also includes three years as a Field Sales Engineer for a global electrical supplier, where he was responsible for sales and support of electrical power distribution and control products. Jeff holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.

Paul Sabel Principal

Los Angeles Trade Technical College

Paul is one of three original Principals who founded CtR in 1994 and currently a consultant. His experience before CtR includes five years as a consultant to a Fortune 100 beverage company and a food & process systems manufacturer. He spent three years as the President of an industrial electrical contractor to the aerospace and manufacturing industries in Los Angeles, CA. Prior to his role as President, he was a Project Manager for nine years, managing large electrical projects in the aerospace and manufacturing industries. Paul Attended Los Angeles Trade Tech, where he had an emphasis in electrical theory and code. He is a California State Licensed Electrical Contractor (C-10).

 

Jim Shaw Principal

B.S. Georgia Institute of Technology

Jim is one of three original Principals who founded CtR in 1994 and currently a consultant. Prior to CtR, he was a consultant to a Fortune 100 beverage company for seven years, where he was responsible for on-site management of large-scale installations for packaging lines throughout the U.S. Jim was also an Engineering Project Manager for seven years at a Fortune 100 snack manufacturer, where he was responsible for overseeing facility renovations and construction of new plants. His background also includes seven years in the semi-conductor industry overseeing facility design and construction of Class 100 clean rooms for two different global semiconductor manufacturers. Jim holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
